Immediate release.
22 May 2023, Johannesburg – The Top 16 Youth-Owned Brands Awards (2023 Top 16 YOBAs) are delighted to announce Cadbury Lunch Bar as a sponsor. Cadbury Lunch Bar will endorse the ‘Personalities and Influencers’ category. A category that dares individuals to be different through their creativity, flair and personality – ultimately allowing them to do much, much more in their fields.
An entity that aims to recognise and celebrate youth excellence, the 2023 Top 16 YOBAs acknowledge the youth of South Africa who are not only contributing to the economy, but the overall image of the country.
“Cadbury Lunch Bar is a local brand that has strived to support South Africans who are always pushing to do well, whether creatively or at work,” says Lara Sidersky, Mondelez SA Category Lead for Chocolate. Our intention now is to continue championing and inspiring an entrepreneurial mindset amongst the youth, and that is why we have partnered with the 2023 Top 16 Youth-Owned Brands Awards,” she adds.
“Having an iconic brand like Cadbury Lunch Bar support our initiative is an honour. It enables us to continue to shine a light on future leaders that are doing great work for themselves and their communities, while contributing to the South African economy,” says Pat Mahlangu, CEO and Founder of the 2023 Top 16 Youth-Owned Brands Awards.
While Cadbury Lunch Bar believes in community and working together to achieve a collective goal or shared vision, they also believe in the power of the digital era which builds great personal brands. “By recognising and rewarding the journey of young creators, we are empowering them on to do much, much more in the future,’ says Lara.
Through both parties’ shared vision of supporting and celebrating young South Africans, this partnership will, no doubt, elevate the nominees and winner of the category.
The 2023 Top 16 YOBAs will be led by the Festival of Youth-Owned Brands that will take place from 09:00 – 17:00 (Day 1) 09:00 – 15:00 followed by award ceremony from 18:00 (Day 2) on the 14th and 15th of June 2023 at the Sandton Convention Centre, followed by the awards ceremony on the evening of the 15th .
