Green Scooter
Green Scooter is a South African electric vehicle company designing, assembling and selling high-performance, fully electric three-wheelers for passengers and cargo, built for African cities and global markets.
Brand Story
Green Scooter is a South African mobility and electric vehicle (EV) company founded by Fezile Dhlamini to develop locally assembled, highway-capable electric three-wheelers for Africa and beyond.
The company’s flagship product, the Zbee, includes passenger (Zbee RS) and cargo (Zbee Cargo) models that combine long range, attractive design and zero tailpipe emissions for urban and last-mile use.
Green Scooter focuses on core EV technologies including energy management systems, battery packing, hub motors and electric powertrain components, while owning its sales and service network.
The venture was created to provide practical, affordable and sustainable mobility solutions for African cities, reducing reliance on fossil-fuel transport and supporting green economic growth.
Why It Exists
Green Scooter exists to reimagine the future of electric vehicles for Africa, delivering clean, efficient and locally relevant mobility that addresses urban congestion, emissions and energy costs.
The company was created to respond to the lack of commercially available, federally-compliant, highway-capable electric vehicles designed with African operating conditions in mind.
Through its Zbee range and planned future models, Green Scooter aims to lead the transition to electric mobility for passengers and freight while building a homegrown EV manufacturing ecosystem.
To design, assemble and commercialise high-performance fully electric vehicles and powertrain components that make urban transport cleaner, cheaper and more sustainable for Africa and the world.
