Headquartered in Cape Town, Western Cape, Botlhale AI develops multilingual, voice-enabled, no-code conversational AI platforms that enable businesses to build chatbots and virtual assistants in African languages.
The company’s technology supports languages including English, isiZulu, isiXhosa, Afrikaans, Sesotho, Setswana and Sepedi, and integrates with channels such as WhatsApp, Telegram and Messenger via APIs.

Co-Founder & CEOThapelo Nthite is a South African engineer and tech entrepreneur who co-founded Botlhale AI in 2019 with a vision of building high-impact AI solutions for Africa.
As CEO, he leads the company’s strategy, partnerships and product direction, focusing on multilingual conversational AI that improves customer communication across African markets.
Sange Maxaku is Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, shaping the product vision and scaling the multilingual no-code chatbot platform used by enterprises. Xolisani Nkwentsha is Co-Founder and contributes to the company’s technology and innovation strategy.
