What if the brand is owned by someone older than 35, does the brand qualify for nomination?
No. To qualify, one of the owners has to be 35 years old or younger.
What if the brand is owned by someone who is younger than 18 years?
Nominations can be submitted for brand owners who are between the ages of 18 and 35.
Does the brand have to be registered with the CIPC?
It is ideal to be registered with the CIPC however, it is not a limiting factor.
Is there going to be a live broadcast?
When is the nomination closing date?
The closing date for nominations is Wednesday, the 17th of April 2024.
Can I submit multiple nominations?
Yes, you can nominate different brands more than once under the different categories.
What are the prizes for the winners?
Winners of each category will receive a cash prize, mentorship, media exposure and a trophy.

What is the voting process?
Voting starts on the 30th of May and closes on the 10th of June at www.top16yoba.africa.
How will I know if my brand has been nominated?
Each brand owner will be contacted once their brand has been nominated.
Can I nominate my own brand?
Yes! Everyone is encouraged to nominate a brand, even your own.
Can I nominate the same brand under different categories?
Yes, in the event that the same brand falls under multiple categories.
What happens after I nominate someone?
Each brand owner will be notified after they are nominated and you will get a confirmation email once your nomination has been submitted.
How are the winners determined?
The judges will shortlist the deserving brands in each category and the public will vote for the winner in each category.
How will the Overall Best Brand Award be awarded?
The Overall Best Brand Award will be decided by the judges.
